'Safe-At-Home' Surprise Birthday Parade

It’s no joke that times are weird right now for everyone, and we’re all doing our best.. but I’m praying the kids still see happiness and love in their everyday lives.

I know for my family, we definitely felt so much love yesterday for Eli’s 5th birthday.

As we played with Eli’s new remote control gift, family and friends began to honk and scream out their car windows. Eli looked up and nonchalantly said “I think that’s Carlie’s voice”. I love how he was so matter-of-fact considering I was already forming tears in my eyes because it feels way too long since seeing our family and friends.

We absolutely loved all the car decorations and birthday music being blasted over car speakers. When gifts started being tossed out windows, Eli realized what the parade was all about and was a bit more excited about what was going on!

These are the memories I never knew we’d have but will surely remember forever.
